Usually you rent out a property with an unlimited rental period. As a landlord you can make a time limited lease. If you choose to make a time limited lease or as a sublet, it should always be stated in the lease agreement.
- Unlimited: The landlord cannot terminate the tenant, unless the tenant violates the lease agreement.
- Time limited: It is agreed that the rental period is limited. The lease agreement ends when the lease period ends. So unless agreed upon, neither the tenant nor the landlord is able to terminate the lease prematurely. The reason for the time limited rental period must be written in the lease.
- Sublease: The present tenant sublets a part of or the entire rental property in a time limited period.
