Deposit, prepaid rent and utilities – landlord

The deposit may, according to Danish law, be 3 times the rent not including utilities. Prepaid rent should not exceed three times the rent including utilities.

In total you may require 3 times rent as deposit, 3 times rent + utilities as prepaid rent and first month's rent from the new tenant upon moving in.

A/C is an estimate of the use of water and heat in the property. Electricity is typically not included, but paid directly to the electricity company by the tenant. The estimate is normally based on previous tenants. The amount may vary depending on the usage. This means that the actual annual usage may be more or less than the estimate and the tenant either have to pay extra or maybe get a refund.
